Week 9 (leaving the MTC!)

Ola! Tudo bem! Eu estou muito animado para sair o CTM (MTC) em segunda-feira (Monday)! Eu vou servir por um pouco tempo em Birmingham, Alabama, entao, isto vou estar diversao haha

I'm writing today because I have my P-Day today instead of Tuesday because I got a temporary reassignment to Alabama. Today I am packing, doing laundry (currently as I am typing this in the laundry room), played some b-ball, and chilling. Because of our visa situations some of us (6) got reassigned until we get our visas so keep praying for me!
Let's see..this week was pretty good but mostly kind of had that senoritis feel, like when you are ready to graduate high school, so you just want to leave. My companheiro and I are goign to Alabama, one other is going to Salt Lake, and 3 left this morning for Milwaukee (this is just from our group). One guy was going to go to Colorado but he got his visa yesterday so he gets to go to Brasil which is pretty sweet.
I think this next week is going to be a cool but different week. No more cafeteria food, no more routine, but no more portuguese, which I can actually understand and speak a whhoollee lot better now! haha Eu posso falar em Portugues com meus professores, e meu distrito tambem e posso entendo eles quendo eles falam para mim. It will be good to get out and actually start to teach real people and help them, I can't wait for that. It'll be awesome and hecka fun to be outside and breath some fresh air haha
We had an in-field orientation thing yesterday to kind of give us a feel for what to do once we are out and it gave us some pointers. One cool thing that stuck out to me was: be yourself. Be who you are, people are people, and you are a person, but for the next 2 years you are representing our church and serving Christ. I thought that was soo true because you need to be yourself. Then, me being me, try to connect that with everyone. I think that all we got to be ourself and things will work out, people will respect you for you, being you, and standing up for what you believe in or do.
Tchau! Vou falar para voces depois!
